Spanish Victims of Abuse Support Group Sued by JWorg

The Association of Victims of JW in Spain has been sued by the Watchtower Branch in Spain using an attorney office specialized on Celebrities public Image defense. The Watchtower stated that the name that includes the word "Victims" is a damaging term used to inflict dishonor to the image of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The copy of the suite in Spain (Europe).states: The Jehovah's Witnesses organization is suing the 'Spanish Association of Victims of Jehovah's Witnesses' for the following reasons:

1) The illegitimate interference, by the defendant, TO THE HONOR, of the religious organization CHRISTIAN WITNESSES OF JEHOVAH, to the under the ORGANIC LAW 1 / 1.982, of May 5 and in accordance with art. 18.1 of the Spanish Constitution as well as arts. 8, 9 and 17 of the ECHR.

2) - The name "Spanish Association of Victims" is to be ELIMINATED as connected to Jehovah's Witnesses ”registered in the National Register of Associations, on 12 February 2020 as well as the abusive content contained in the website and its complete removal.

3) - The name of the website named https://victimasdetestigosdejehova.org/is to be eliminated, as well as the social media accounts of Facebook and Twitter called “Asociación Española Víctimas Witigos de Jehovah ”(@ aevtj”) and, consequently, to its termination.

4) - CESSATION is made in the disclosure of comments or information alike through any medium.

5) - INDEMNIFICATION OF DAMAGES for said violation, only in favor of the religious organization - JEHOVAH'S CHRISTIAN WITNESSES.

6) - The defendant is ordered to PUBLISH THE HEADING AND THE RULING OF THE SENTENCE with the same public dissemination with which they were released the data that are considered illegitimate interference in the integrity of the organizatoin, that is, in the various digital platforms to be mentioned throughout the lawsuit.

7) - Order the defendant to pay the costs.
